My career plan is to become a Game Developer. My career is based on working in a collaborative environment with each having different range of responsibility such as designing, art, programming, testing and much more.
Tasks that a game developer has to do as a part of their career goal/aspiration are:
- plan a storyline, characters, environment, activities, scoring, and progression according to the game specification and feature requests.
- coordinating with dedicated visual designers, game developers and use different computer applications to make 2D and 3D models of game assets, including scenery and animating the characters and designing (according to the needs of the game and type of game) the environment of the game.
- Using programming languages suitable for the game’s target platform. Write the code that implements the game’s logic and allows the players to interact with the game world and its characters.
- Creating Prototype of the game for the beta users, team and company to test for bugs, glitches and broken features so to fix and make the game better and more interactive for players before shipping.
- Documenting game design and progress by adding new feature as requested and make improvements to the game.
Other Part of my career goal is to gain personal growth, and knowledge, motivate and inspire others. I want to work with different companies as well. This helps me to have a lot of professional network, creates different understanding to develop different genre of games and designs. It will make me understand different needs of the companies and can increase my understanding in a wide variety. This will allow changing my perspectives accordingly to the situation around me.
To Accomplish this goal I have to climb a ladder of dedication, success and struggle. But this ladder will lead me to achieve what I am passionate about. Every goal begins with a step. I ultimately want to have my own company which develops game engines and which can help new emerging talents get knowledge, understand new ways to develop themselves and focus their goals.
